Donald Dangers “Bud” passed away at St. Mary’s Care Center of Winsted on August 4, 2013.

Funeral Service: 11 AM Wednesday August 7, 2013 at St. James Lutheran Church of Howard Lake

Visitation: 5-7 PM Tuesday at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home of Howard Lake and 1hr prior to funeral service at church on Wednesday.

Prayer Service: 7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Interment: St. James Lutheran Cemetery on Dutch Lake

Obituary

Donald “Bud”
Herman Dangers was born November 23, 1927, in rural Howard Lake, Minnesota the
son of Fredrich and Emma (Schlee) Dangers.
A lifelong member of St. James Lutheran Church, Howard Lake, he was
baptized on January 8, 1928 by Pastor C.G. Seltz and confirmed in his faith on
April 6, 1941 by Pastor E.N. Seltz.

On January
27, 1962, he was married to Carolyn Shepperd at St. James Lutheran Church by
Pastor G.C. Michael. Their marriage was blessed with three children.  They made their home and livelihood on the
Dangers family farm south of Howard Lake in Victor Township, milking dairy cows
and farming the land until retiring.
Farm organizations were important to him having served as an FFA Leader, 4-H Leader, President of the Farm Bureau and as a member of
the Mid-AM Creamery Board. He was also an active member of St. James Church
serving on the Board of Elementary Education and as an Elder.

It was on
Sunday, August 4, 2013, that Donald was called to his eternal rest having
reached the age of 85 years, 8 months and 12 days.

He was
preceded in death by his parents Fred and Emma Dangers; two infant sisters; and
four brothers Leo Dangers, Fritz Dangers, Leonard Dangers and Vernon Dangers.

Donald is
survived by his wife Carolyn Dangers; two daughters Christine (Jim) Yukel and
Cathy (Cory) Jones; and son Michael (Sara) Dangers; grandchildren Samantha
Cuhel (fiancé Jared Pierce), Jonathan Yukel, Andrew Jones (fiancée Sarah
Sanderson), Jack Jones, Emma Dangers, Jacob Dangers, Cole Dangers and Libby Dangers;
one great grandchild Gabriel Pierce; sister Marion Hewitt; sister-in-law Evelyn
Dangers; nieces; nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers
are Dennis Klammer, Brett Schlief, John Hewitt, Joel Hewitt, Craig Brose and
Keith Brose.

Officiating at the celebration
of his life today is Reverend Michael Nirva with Andrew Jones leading the
congregation in responsively reading the Twenty-third Psalm. Nancy Butterfass
is serving as organist with special music by Emma Dangers playing the harp.  Interment will be at the St. James Cemetery
on Dutch Lake.

Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home of Howard Lake.
