Jeffery Michael Holmquist, age 46 of Dassel, passed away tragically September 14, 2024.
Jeff was born November 9, 1977 to Michael & Belinda Holmquist (Gustafson). He was a 1996 graduate of Dassel-Cokato High School. Jeff was baptized & confirmed at evangelical Lutheran Church of Cokato. He married Rebecca Habisch in 2001, and that union was blessed with his 4 children who were his pride and joy.
Jeff loved watching baseball, football & hockey and spent much of his youth involved in sports as he was extremely athletic. He was good at working with his hands, and spent his entire career as a concrete worker for Ailie Construction. Jeff was a hard worker but often stated he’s never worked a day in his life. Jeff had a heart of gold, he would never turn down someone who needed help and often put others needs before his own. Jeff often proclaimed himself as a hunter and gatherer and felt a connection to something greater when he was in nature. He would spend hours dragging his friends and family with him to search for rocks. His love for the outdoors extended far beyond hunting and fishing but gazing at the night sky and talking about being part of something bigger.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents: and his mother, Belinda.
Jeff is survived by his children Hunter, Hayden, Hope and Halle, Father Michael, Brother Brent (Laura), his dog Bailee and many family and friends.
Services will be held Friday, September 20, 2024 at 11:00 am at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cokato with visitation one hour prior to service.
