Bonnie Mae Johnson, Age 77, of Howard Lake passed away
suddenly Wednesday August 7th, 2013.
Bonnie is survived by sons, Jerod of Howard Lake, Mark (Betty) of Howard
Lake, Randy (Michele) of Blaine, and Darren of Lake Crystal; seven
grandchildren, Amy, Adam (Trista), Melissa, Christine, Blake, Alex, and
Elizabeth; two great grandchildren, Chance and Hayden; two sisters, Millie
Pipal of Buffalo and Grace Nelson of Cokato; Sister-in-Law Adell (Donald)
Mumford of Dassel and Brother-in-law Robert Johnson of Buffalo;
as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Bonnie was preceded in death by husband
Charles; parents, William and Adeline Tuey; siblings Denton Tuey, Betty Ring,
and Helen Harms. Bonnie made her home in
Howard Lake where she worked multiple jobs in the accounting area for local
businesses. She enjoyed bookkeeping and
was working for her nephew at Mumford Sanitation at the time of her death. Bonnie was a member of First Baptist Church
of Cokato her entire life. She began
playing the organ at age 16 and for 58 years could be found Sunday mornings
playing both the piano and organ for services.
She also played for many weddings and funerals at First Baptist until
her retirement in 2009. She will be
dearly missed by family and friendsBonnie passed away at her home just South of Howard Lake on August 7, 2013
Funeral Service: 10:30 Saturday, August 10, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Cokato
Visitation: 5-8 PM Friday, August 9, at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home of Cokato and 1hr prior to services at church on Saturday
Interment: First Baptist Cemetery of Cokato
