Johnson, Robert Dean
age 72, of Buffalo passed away on April 11, 2017. He was born on November 2, 1944 in Cokato, Minnesota to Carl and Myrtle Johnson. Robert attended school in Cokato and after school, worked at home until his mother passed away. He then went to work for Lloyd Glessing until his vision deteriorated. Later, he went to work at Functional Industries until his passing. While at Functional Industries, he received many awards, including employee of the month and longest employee.
Bobby was a kind, generous soul, and was dearly loved by his family and friends. He loved any type of social activity and was always ready for any adventure. He enjoyed going to fairs, music in the park and always enjoyed family picnics. He even traveled to Canada to see relatives several times. Bobby even took his first airplane flight at the age of 65. While Bobby loved activity, his greatest love was his family. He drank many cups of coffee and enjoyed sweets around the table with loved ones.
Bobby is survived by his sister Adell Mumford of Dassel, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. We were all blessed for having him in our lives.
He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Doris, Waldon, Beverly, and Charles.
A celebration of Bobby’s life will take place at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the First Presbyterian Church in Howard Lake, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at church. Arrangements by Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, www.swansonpeterson.com, 320-286-2534
