Melvin E. Keskey, age 86, of Cokato, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at his home. He was born February 6, 1927 in Wakefield, Michigan to Ernest and Mamie (Bajari) Keskey. Melvin graduated from Cokato High School and Minneapolis
Business College. He was a member of the 82nd Airborne in the U.S. Army. In October of 1954, Melvin was united in marriage to Joanne Hanson in Dassel, MN. He made his employment with the Soo Line Railroad, Federal Government Payroll, and U.S. Postal Service and was a member of the American Legion.
Melvin is survived by his children, Rebecca (Barry) Gustafson, Mary (Steven) Torola, and Erick (Amy) Keskey, all of Cokato. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, brothers, Earl and Roger Keskey, and sister, Lavona Keskey.
Preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, wife, son, Timothy Keskey, and brother, Clifford Keskey.
Funeral service: Monday, August 19, 2013 3:00pm at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church in Dassel, MN.
Visitation: 1 hour prior to services at the church.
Interment: Cokato Finnish Cemetery immediately following service at church.
