Roland Victor Krohn, was born on September 18, 1940 on the farm in Howard Lake to Arthur and Meta Ida (Yager) Krohn. He was baptized and confirmed at St. James Lutheran Church of Howard Lake. He attended parochial school at St. James and Howard Lake High School. After high school he moved to Brooklyn Park and later Fridley. He worked at FMC in Fridley where he did tool sharpening. FMC was a defense contractor. Roland enjoyed fishing and any sporting event that happened to be on television.
Roland passed away at United Hospital of St. Paul on October 25, 2021. He had reached the age of 81 years, 1 month and 7 days.
Survivors include: Ramona Kirchner of Sleepy Eye, Tom Krohn of Howard Lake, Rita Krohn of Bloomington, Grant (Debbie) Krohn of Maple Lake and Mary Krohn of Bloomington.
Roland was preceded in death by his parents; Arthur and Meta Krohn, Siblings Jerry, Paulette, and Dale.
Memorial Service: 2 PM Saturday, October 30, 2021 at St. James Lutheran Church
Visitation: 1 hour prior to service at church
Interment: Church Cemetery
