Luhman, Michael Hubert 73

Michael Hubert Luhman, age 73, of Howard Lake, passed away September 7th at the Gardens of Winsted Nursing Home.

Michael was born to Hubert and Myrtle Luhman on August 24th, 1951, at the Litchfield Hospital. He was Baptized and Confirmed at St. James Lutheran Church in Howard Lake. He attended St. James Lutheran grade school through 8th grade, then attended Howard Lake High School, and graduated in 1969.

After high school, he worked at Tonka Toys for several years. Once they closed, he worked at WSI in Long Lake.

On September 13th, 1980, Michael married Frances Loebertmann at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. They were blessed with 44 years together.

In his younger years, he really enjoyed being on the lake with his boat. He was very talented at woodworking and created many things. He was a collector of John Deere tractors, Tonka Toys, and Allis Chalmers tractors.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Myrtle, Sister-in-Law, Nancy Loebertmann, Maternal and Paternal Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and other relatives.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Frances, his Aunt Violet Luhman, and his Uncle, Arvid Luhman. He is further survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Therese and Bernard Kral, Monica and John Kral, Kenneth Loebertmann, Stephen and Debbie Loebertmann, Agnes and Paul Schmitz, Michael Loebertmann, and Barbara and Michael Steffer. Many nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive him.

A visitation and funeral will take place on Saturday, September 14th, at St. James Lutheran Church in Howard Lake. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., with the funeral following at 11 a.m. Burial will be held at St. James Lutheran Church Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers are Dennis Klammer, Larry Hensel, Tyler Loebertmann, Galen Johnson, Jordan Steffer, Paul Schmitz, Larry Cramb & Brian Loebertmann.
