Judith
Kathleen Esther Martinson was born on February 8, 1942 in Minneapolis Minnesota to Vernie and Irene (Martinson) Olson.  She grew up on the farm in Stockholm Township and was baptized and confirmed at the Stockholm Lutheran Church.  She attended
the Stockholm country school and graduated from Cokato High School in 1960. She worked at 3M in Hutchinson for a time.

 

Judy
married Merlin Martinson in 1960 at the Stockholm Lutheran Church, their 42 years together were blessed with 4 children
Scott, Jackie, Michelle and Christina.
Merlin better known as Eager passed away in 2002.

 

They
made their home on Brooks Lake of Cokato for quite some time, lived at
Hutchinson and finally Dassel.

 

Judy
enjoyed gardening and flowers, and traveling. Mostly she loved her family and
cooking for them.  She was a member of
the Evangelical Lutheran Church and American Legion Auxillary in Cokato.

 

Judy
passed away at the Cokato Manor on February 17, 2013.  She had
reached the age of 71 years and 9 days.

 

Survivors
include her children: Jackie Russell of Hutchinson, Scott (Laura) Martinson of
Minnetonka, Michell (Craig) Mosford of Burke Virginia, and Christina Martinson
of Dassel.  Grand children Jordan,
Oliver, Meredith, Claire and Madeline.
Brothers and sisters; Paul (Linda) Olson of Lakeside California, Kathy (Roland) Olson-Studler of St. Paul, Daniel (Joan) Olson of Reed Springs Missouri, and
Mary (Dennis) Danielson of Dassel.

 

She
is preceded in death by her parents V.E. and Irene Olson, husband Merlin, and
grandson Jesse Russell.
