Delmer Dean Matasovsky, age 87, of Plymouth, went home to his Lord and Savior on June 16, 2024.
Del was born on January 29, 1937, in rural Lakefield, MN, to Tom and Gladys Matasovsky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother David, and sister Norma Dickey.
Survived by his beloved wife and soul mate of almost 56 years, Jeanne; children Joel (Tricia) and Lisa (Chance) Lunsford; grandchildren Camila, Andrew, Kate, Valentina, Olney, Peter and Ana; and sister, Marlene Hendricksen.
Del graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. degree in Dairy Industries and received his Masters’ degree in Public Health from the University of Minnesota. He worked for the City of Minneapolis as a Health Inspector for 36 years.
The Celebration of Life will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 28, 2024, with visitation at 10 a.m. at Grace Church – Door 2, 9301 Eden Prairie Road, Eden Prairie, MN 55347. Private Burial at Howard Lake Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Avail Academy, Open Door Christian School (Graham, TX), Salvation Army, or MN Adult & Teen Challenge.
