Kammerer, Wayne Philip
age 78, of Darwin, MN passed away at his home on January 31, 2017. He was born on the farm in Redwood Falls, MN on March 14, 1938 to Harold and Amanda (Tordson) Kammerer. Wayne was confirmed at Bethany Lutheran Church in Wabasso, MN and later was united in marriage to Phyllis Mae Kuester on September 18, 1954 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Morgan, MN. He spent 8 years in the National Guard from March 1955 to March 1963 and 19 years on the Redwood Falls Fire and Ambulance Department. He farmed in Redwood County until 1967 and then worked for the city of Redwood Falls for 29 years. Wayne was a St. John’s Lutheran Church Trustee, a Boy Pioneer Leader, and ushered for 16 years. He worked at St. Peter’s Church doing maintenance for 6 years.
Wayne enjoyed fishing, often having fishing contests or taking the grandchildren to fishing contests each summer. He enjoyed going to garage sales, thrift stores, and helping Bob with swap meets. During the winter, Wayne enjoyed reading and baking, making very good cookies and overnight buns. He would spend time on the paddle boat or pontoon, taking family and friends for a ride around the lake. Wayne also enjoyed his many Hostas, and birds; such as Cardinals, and Eagles flying over the lake.
Survived by his children, Shari (Bob) Schmidt, Linda Kammerer (Mike Sikora), Doug (Connie) Kammerer, Dave (Tammy) Kammerer, and Dennis (Jannel) Kammerer, grandchildren, Derek (Michelle) Schmidt, Stephanie (Joe) Coomer, Dan Burdick, Nichole (Morgan) Holland, Dustin (Amy) Kammerer, Caitlin Kammerer, Samantha Kammerer, Jonathon (Maddie) Kammerer, Nathaniel Kammerer, and Zachary Kammerer, great-grandchildren, Tyler and Ellie Schmidt, Grace, Ryan, Evelyn, and baby Coomer, and Alayna Holland. Also survived by his sister Carol (Lyle) McCarty, and sister in-law Barbara Kammerer, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Kenneth Kammerer.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Grace Lutheran Church (430 Fifth Ave. SW, Hutchinson, MN 55350). Borg, Delmond Wesley 89

Delmond Wesley Borg passed away at Dassel Lakeside Nursing Home on January 16, 2017.
Memorial Service: 4 PM Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Elim Mission Church of Cokato
Visitation: 5-8 PM Friday, January 27, 2017 at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home of Cokato, and 1 hr prior to service at church on Saturday.
Interment: Good Shepard Lutheran Cemetery of Cokato in the spring.
Delmond Wesley Borg was born on December 30, 1927, at Swedish Hospital in
Minneapolis, Minnesota. He grew up first in Watertown, Minnesota and
attended grade school at Sunnyside Country School. Then his family moved to
a farm southwest of Cokato. Delmond graduated from Cokato High School in
1945. Delmond played both basketball and baseball in high school. After high
school, he farmed with his father and attended the University of Minnesota
Agricultural School.
At a friend’s wedding, Delmond met the love of his life, June
Carlson. They were married on September 10th, 1949. They made their home on
the farm southwest of Cokato, where they were blessed with their 3 children:
David, Dwayne and Susan. Together they enjoyed traveling. Their favorite
trips were to the Holy Land in 1985 and to Sweden for their 50th wedding
anniversary. Their love was evident to all those around them, as their
grandchildren fondly remember that “Grandpa was all about Grandma.”
Throughout his life, Delmond enjoyed farming, and also worked for a
time at Northland Canning. In 1974, along with Tex Haapala, Bob Carlson, Tom
Carlson, Doug Carlson and sons David and Dwayne, Delmond developed Top Farm
Hybrids, a seed company that continued through 2009. He was also on the
board of C&H Ag and president for a time of Wright County Farm Bureau.
Delmond was an active member of Elim Mission Church, where he had served as
chairman and elder. He read his Bible and did devotions with June daily. As
an avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play,
in addition to the U of M Golden Gophers. Most of all, he loved spending
time with his family, especially picnics at the cabin.
At the age of 89, Delmond was called home to his Lord and Savior on
January 16th at Lakeside Health Care Center in Dassel. Survivors include
sons David (Sharon) of Maple Grove, and Dwayne (Julie) of Cokato, daughter
Susan (Kevin) Anderson of Chicago, sister Marie (Dwight) Nyquist, and
sisters-in-law Ethelyn Carlson and Lois Engel, 12 grandchildren, 21
great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Delmond was preceded in death by his parents Turie and Evelyn, wife
June, and great-granddaughters Emilee Rose Borg and AnnaLeah Hope Borg.

Stenberg, Marian Ruth 64

Marian Stenberg, 64, of Maple Plain, MN died unexpectedly on Dec. 27th, 2016. She was born on May 22nd, 1952, in Albert Lea, MN to Clyde and Georgin (Charlat) Hidinger. Ms. Stenberg served proudly in the United States Air Force, and was dedicated to those she served as a nurse. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her son Nathan Stenberg, her brother, Danny, and sisters Patti, Char, and Jean. The funeral service will be held at Grace Trinity Community Church, 1430 West 28th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55408, at 11 AM, Friday January 6th, 2017. Ms. Stenberg will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN, with full military honors. Libor, Leslie Allan 62


Leslie Allan Libor passed away on December 31, 2016 at Prairie Senior Cottage of Hutchinson.
Memorial Service: 2 PM, Friday, January 6, 2017 at Evangelical Lutheran Church of Cokato.
Visitation: will begin at 1 PM Friday at church.
Leslie Allan Libor was born in Watertown, Minnesota on January 4, 1954 to George and Jeannie (Lockwood) Libor. He grew up in the Bloomington, Minnesota area, West Palm Beach, Florida and finally Howard Lake where he graduated from High School in 1972.
After High School Leslie entered the United States Army Where he served until 1975. He spent time during his service in Hawaii. On May 1, 1977 Leslie married Beverly Ernhart at the home of the bride. The couple made their home first in Cokato, then in Georgia for 5 years. While in Georgia Leslie worked as a 911 deputy sheriff dispatcher from Jan 81-1984 for Fulton County police department in Atlanta. They then moved back to Cokato and Leslie went to work at Buffalo Cleaners where he stayed for the next 33 years.
Leslie was a great sports enthusiast, he coached his children’s little league teams, played town ball and horse shoes. He enjoyed music and played in “The Driftwood Band”. He was interested in cars and street rods, his own was a 1939 Pontiac. He enjoyed socializing and was a charismatic individual, a cutthroat cribbage player and yet a humble individual. He was one of the original lot owners at Lake Dale Campground on Long Lake. He was a member of the Howard Lake American Legion Post 145.
Leslie passed away on December 31, 2016 at Prairie Senior Cottage, in Hutchinson, Minnesota he had reached the age of 62 years, 11 months and 31 days.
Survivors include his former wife Beverly of Hutchinson, children: Joel (Tyler Anderson) of Minneapolis, Shawn (Rhoda Hubbard-Anderson ) Libor of Hutchinson, Dawn (Steve) Suess of Hutchinson. Grand children Jaden and Kash Suess of Hutchinson. Sister Jan (Jeff) Sammon of Alpharetta, Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Olson, Impie Hilma 88

Impie Hilma Olson (Kotila) was born October 20, 1928 on the farm in Cokato township of her parents Oscar and Hilma Kotila. She graduated Cokato high school in 1946. On August 7, 1948 she married Dean Olson. They had four children. They co-owned the dairy dip in Dassel with Ernest and Amelia, and later bought the Cokato Short Stop Drive-In. Moving to Colorado they ran the restaurants in three different Auto Auctions which included catering parties.
When they returned to Minnesota, Impie and her niece, Carolyn Thompson, owned the log cabin on highway 12. Also with Dean, they started a food stand at the wright county fairgrounds in Howard Lake and ran it for many years. Impie also ran the catering truck at Lampie Auctions. She spent many hours at the Northwoods Inn/Saloon helping Ron and Dean. They lived on Lake Sylvia in South Haven. When they sold the house they stayed summers at their daughter, Jane’s house. When winters came, they stayed in Arizona. They enjoyed going there for many years. For the last six years, she has lived at the Cokato Manor. She was very happy and made many friends. We are all very grateful for the wonderful care and kindness they gave our mom and grandmother.
Impie is survived by her four children; Randy of Garrison, MN, Ron (Betty) of Cokato, Jane (Lyle) of Cokato, Kevin (Lorraine) of Casper, Wyoming. Five grandchildren; Patrick (Monica), Rick (Paula), Jessie (Dale), Heidi, Josh (Melissa). Seven great grandchildren; Ryun, Gabby, Nick and Amanda, Mackenzie and Keaton, Allie. Sister-in-laws; Jeanne Pettit, Joyce Kotila. Impie is preceded in death by her husband Dean, daughter-in-law Tracie, grandson Jacob and her six brothers and sisters.
A funeral service will be held at North Crow River Lutheran Church in Knapp, Minnesota on Friday, December 23, 2016 at 11:00 AM, with visitation on Thursday, December 22, 2016 from 4-7 PM at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home in Cokato and continuing 1 hour prior to the service at church.
