Lennox Charles Euerle, beloved husband of Joan Mary Levno Euerle for 67 years, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on June 26, 2021. Born in Forest Prairie Township, Minnesota, on November 17, 1934, he was the son of the late Albert Emil W. and Clara W. Ramthun Euerle. Preceding him in death include brothers Fred, Albert, Berton, and William; sister, Margaret; and son, John.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; brother, Gerald (Audrey) (Litchfield, MN); sister Annette Knutson (Cokato, MN); children, Steve (Maple Plain, MN), Sandi (Bill) Strickland (Sumter, SC), Debbie (Buffalo, MN), Rose (Steve) Foss (Cokato, MN), Juanita (Tom) Sparks (Goldsboro, NC), Tony (Andy) (Las Vegas, NV), and Ron (Lindi) (Fromberg, MT): grandchildren Billy, David, Jason, Jessica, Aaron, Anthony, Nathan, Alex, Megan, Joshua, and Jacob; great-grandchildren Gabriel, Cooper, Tyler, Ava, Mason, McKenzie, Lily, and Sawyer, sisters in law Dorothy Euerle (Litchfield), Adelaide Levno (Hutchinson) and Dot Levno (Brainerd).
Lennox proudly served for 11 years in the U. S. Air Force as a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam War era at the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was stationed at Parks Air Force Base Dublin, CA; Donaldson Air Force Base, Greenville, SC; McConnell Air Force Base, Wichita Falls, TX, McChord Air Force Base, Tacoma, WA, and Naha Air Base, Okinawa, Japan. The C-134 Globemaster was his favorite aircraft to work on. As a member of the 3rd Air Rescue Squadron, Lennox served as an aircraft mechanic for the SA-16 Albatross amphibious aircraft. He flew in the Albatross which was used in filming the movie “Flight from Ashiya”. He was proud to have five children who followed his example by enlisting in the Air Force as well as three grandchildren who also served in the military.
Lennox’s first love was Joan. He was a deeply devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Among his other loves were the Minnesota Vikings, John Deere tractors, feeding and watching birds, fishing, old classic country music, cars, farming, and gardening. His favorite pets were Sam, Buddy, Betsy and Bootsie.

Janet Kay Gryz
age 61, of Cokato passed away June 16, 2021. She was born March 28, 1960 in Minneapolis, MN to Clarence and Eleanor (Gray) Dahlheimer. In 1986 Janet was united in marriage to Timothy Gryz. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother, Ronald Dahlheimer. Survived by her siblings, Beverly Larson, Richard Dahlheimer, Donna (Mike) Eklund, and Thomas (Patty) Dahlheimer. Micaela Perez Jimenez-63, passed away at Abbott Northwestern Hospital surrounded by family on Tuesday, June 8, 2021.
Micaela was born May 8, 1958 in Tuxpan Nayarit, Mexico to Jose Guadalupe Perez and Cirila Jimenez. She was the oldest child of 6 children. Ramona, Gloria, Maria Guadalupe, Teresa & Salvador.
Mica graduated High school in 1979, she went on to better her education and has an Associate’s degree in accounting. Mica was baptized and confirmed in Mexico. On November 1, 1980 Micaela was united in marriage to Ricardo Larios Monreal, they were married for 40 years, they lived in Tuxpan, Nayarit for 14years, and then decided to build a life in the US. They moved to Los Angeles CA in 1993 with their 2 children from there their families travels brought them to Cokato MN in 1999.
Micaela will be dearly missed by all who loved her; Husband Ricardo Larios Monreal and son Jose Ricardo (Kala) Larios of Cokato, and daughter Miriam (Emilio) Flores of Cokato. As well as her grandchildren, (Luis, Validia, Aliona, Alonzo, Saul, Mayte and Eduardo) brother, sisters and many nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her parents.
Mica was employed at Dan & Jerrys for 13 years she enjoyed working closely with her coworkers. Every season brought new things to the nursery, that she enjoyed being a part of.
Mica’s life revolved around her family she enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow up & could always whip up a delicious Mexican dish. She enjoyed spending time with her husband dinning out and trying her luck at the slots at the casino. Mica always had a smile on her face, she was one to be shy and quiet but her face said it all. She will truly be missed by everyone.

Ron Clayton Jensen, 58, from Cokato, MN, passed peacefully through the veil to his maker on Sunday, June 6 after a brief, courageous battle with cancer.

Ron was born April 3, 1963 in Hutchinson, MN.

Ron was a master carpenter but his lifelong avocation was the creation of fabulous sculptures out of selected tree pieces found in his woods sanctuary. He had the classical artistic gift of being able to look at a gnarled tree trunk or branch and see the butterfly or table or flower or songbird within. He created hundreds of breathtaking sculptures over the years each one uniquely shaped, each one showcasing the natural color variations within the wood piece, each one a testament to his love of nature. His artistry was not limited to his otherworldly wood sculptures; he was a talented painter – on canvas, wood, and even rocks, as well as charcoal and pencil drawings.

Ron was a loving and involved uncle to his many nieces and nephews, but most of all he was FUN. Uncle Ron would play with them for hours on end when they visited the farm, and he would thrill them with all his treasures (whether it was gems, rocks, kittens, chickens, jewelry, items he crafted himself, or vehicles they could ride) and often let them take a precious item or two home with them. Many of these were among the myriad treasures that came from his joy of participating in and going to flea markets.

Ron is survived by his mother, Sally Erickson, along with brothers Roger Jensen (Barb) and Robert Jensen and sisters Sandy Merrill (Roger), Susan Sandberg (Jason), and Nicole Prater (Matt) and nieces and nephews: Taylor, Brendin, Brooke, Aidan, Eric, Julia, Ellie, Harry, Kaleigh and Finn. His father Darrell Jensen, and step father, Charles Erickson, nephews Zack and Andy Jensen preceded him in death.

Visitation will take place Monday, June 14, 2021, at 10:00 am followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am at Stockholm Lutheran Church in Cokato. Lunch will follow service.

Elroy Vern Dahlin, age 80, was a lifelong resident of Cokato, a staple in his family and community, and a generous, gentle soul. He loved God, his family, people, collecting everything, and ice cream – all traits that will live on in his children and grandchildren. On May 31, 2021, surrounded by his family, he was called home by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Elroy was born to Clarence and Ruth Dahlin on June 7, 1940, the eldest of 3 children. He was baptized on October 13, 1940.
A graduate of Cokato High School, Class of 1958, Elroy played center for the Cokato Cardinals during their infamous 27-game win streak. He went on to briefly attend and play football at Bemidji State University, but returned to Cokato to work at Don’s City Service. It was here that he would meet his future wife, Betty Lundeen. They were engaged July 2, 1965 and married at the Elim Mission Church in Cokato on September 25, 1965.
In 1974, together and with their partner, Denny Lundeen, they co-founded and operated Cokato Tractor Salvage. Their business began in an empty barn and over the next 36 years, grew to selling parts throughout the United States and several other countries. Elroy and Betty were additionally blessed with 44 years of marriage, 2 children, Kurt Dahlin of Cokato and Jill Pingel of Maple Lake, and, eventually, 7 grandchildren.
The personification of a “social butterfly”, Elroy had the ability to strike up a conversation with anyone and form a connection with complete strangers. You could often find him having coffee with the guys at the Marketplace, or breakfast at the Dairy Queen, or volunteering at the food shelf. Likely chatting up anyone who walked by.
Given his love of people, it is not a surprise that he would be heavily involved within the community. Elroy served 4 years on the Cokato City Council, 25 years on the Corn Carnival Committee, was an Election Judge for the Cokato Township, and a member of the Cokato Museum Board. Elroy also volunteered for 56 years working the Corn Stand at the Cokato Corn Carnival. His family has fond memories of being able to skip the line to see Grandpa Elroy and occasionally sneaking out some extra ears of corn.
His services were recognized and honored by the city as he was the recipient of the 1996 Cokato Corn Carnival Service Award and 1999 Business of the Year award, and named the 2015 Grand Marshal of the Cokato Corn Carnival kick off parade and 2018 Citizen of the Year.
Elroy dedicated himself to God and was an active member of the Elim Mission Church. Some of his favorite memories were of being a youth leader with his wife Betty. He was also an usher, AWANA leader, and served as a Trustee and Chairman of Buildings & Grounds for several years.
Elroy lived his life in service to God, his family, and community. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and was an avid bowler – attending many tournaments across the country. He also loved to attend his grandchildren’s school events whether it be a sporting event or a production of Beauty and the Beast. He was the best kind of father, grandpa, brother, and neighbor, always caring and selfless, although he did hide his Peanut Butter M&M’s so others wouldn’t eat his favorite candy.
Elroy is survived by his children Kurt (Stephanie) Dahlin, and Jill (Chad) Pingel; grandchildren Mikaela, Olivia, Natalia, and Kyle Dahlin; and Lexi (Jon) Christensen, Sadie, and Austin Pingel; siblings Mary (Gary) Redmann, and Jim (Linda) Dahlin; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Although, he has left loved ones and a community in mourning, we rejoice in the knowing that Elroy has been reunited with those who preceded him in death: his wife, Betty; father, Clarence “Ky” Dahlin; and mother, Ruth Dahlin.
The funeral service will take place on Saturday, June 5 at 10 a.m. at Highland Community Church. A visitation will be held an hour prior.
