Arthur Gerald Ogaard of Litchfield, formerly of Cokato, passed away at Emmanuel Nursing Home of Litchfield on 4-9-2013

Arthur Gerald Ogaard, was born on September 15, 1932 at Donnybrook, North Dakota, to Maurice and Doris (Swanstrom) Ogaard. He grew up in Cokato and was baptized and confirmed at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Cokato. Art graduated from Cokato High School in 1952. After High School he joined the United States Navy spending most of his 4 years in San Diego, California.
Art went on to St. Cloud State College, while there he helped build the Rich Springs golf coarse at Cold Spring, and later the Buffalo Heights golf coarse of Buffalo, and the Cokato golf coarse. Art married Nancy Rentz in Buffalo in October of 1963.
Art owned and operated the Clover Leaf Milk delivery service in Cokato for quite some time before moving on to other things. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, woodworking, pistol league, gun smithing, motor cycle riding, sno mobieling, trap shooting, and bowling. He was a licensed pilot and
member of the NRA, Cokato Country Club, Cokato Legion, and Masons. Most of all Art enjoyed his family, being a good friend and helping people.
Art passed away peacefully with his family at his side at the Emmanuel Nursing Home of Litchfield on April 9, 2013. He had reached the age of 80 years, 6 months and 24 days.
Survivors include; Nancy Ogaard of Aurora, Minnesota, Sons; Gerald of Rosemont, Goff (Susan) of Swanville. Greg (Melinda) of Iowa Falls. Grandchildren: Heather, Brian, Sarah, Rachel, Jackson. Great grand children; Tanner Kylee, Makenna, and Carter. Brother Richard of Seattle. Nieces Nephews other relatives and many friends.
Art was preceded in death by his parents Maurice and Doris, and great grand son Kaden
